Founded in 2021 by hardware engineers who got tired of seeing African IoT projects ship abroad. We exist to keep that capability local.

We are a small studio of hardware, firmware and cloud engineers, based in Westlands, Nairobi. We design products that survive the field, not just the lab.

Embed Solutions started in 2021 when our co-founders kept watching promising East African hardware startups shop their schematics overseas, then wait six months for a partial answer. They built this studio to be the opposite: senior engineers in the same room, decisions made in days, code and gerbers handed back at the end.

Today the team is eight engineers and growing. We have designed 48+ boards, shipped 2,400+ devices into the field, and helped clients in 14 countries through certification. ApiLink and DripFlow are our own products, born out of work for clients who asked us to keep iterating.

No. For client projects, you retain full ownership of all Intellectual Property (IP), including hardware designs (gerbers, schematics) and source code, once the project is paid for and completed.
Yes, we have a network of trusted PCBA manufacturers and component suppliers. We can help you source components at the best prices and oversee the manufacturing process to ensure quality.
Timelines vary depending on complexity. A simple prototype might take 4–6 weeks, while a complex industrial IoT product could take 3–6 months. We provide a detailed timeline after the initial discovery phase.
